Challenge
Throughout my time at Shelby Township, I actively worked on various promotional graphic design projects, event management and planning, and social media management projects. The challenge was to create various promotional graphics for the Township that were very detailed in information and served as a “one-stop-shop” for residents looking for details. Additionally, events were organized and planned by my department, including corporate event photography and social media management for events.
Solution
When creating graphics for Shelby Township, graphics were copy-heavy, at the request of the client, and provided almost all event information. This solved the need to provide residents with all the required information they may need for an event. Additionally, we created various Facebook event pages for the running list of events managed and helped direct all traffic to said pages. This, along with frequent social posts regarding any event updates, helped to minimize questions from residents.

Treehouse Gallery
Promotional Print + Digital Graphic Design
Print graphics were made for various events and needs of the Shelby TV kids’ show, Treehouse Gallery. The flyer was printed and distributed to Utica Community Schools to boost awareness. Additionally, social media posts were included in the campaigns.
Shelby Township requested the graphic needed to be fun but still professional, eye-catching, kid-friendly, and fall-themed.
DDA Fireworks + Food Truck Rally

The Charter Township of Shelby hosted this event in July 2019. All fireworks promotional graphics were made in partnership with the event’s designers through approval processes, including various rounds of review and adjustments. The design was published in local newspapers and the Township's own publications, "The Fountain" and "Branching Out."
This project also included maintaining the Township’s Facebook event page, posting event-related graphics, and communicating with residents.
National Night Out

The event poster needed to fulfill the client's needs and image, including an assortment of copy for residents to reference. It included detailed information about the event time, location, and details as well as contact information. Social media management was a key part of this project, communicating with residents about the event on social media and organizing posts throughout the promotional period for the event.
Additionally, event photography was captured for this project, featuring K9 demonstrations, vendors, and more. Photos were shared on the Township’s website and social media channels, as well as with local print organizations.
“Running with Heros” 5K
Digital Graphic Design, Social Media Management + Content Creation, Corporate Event Photography
Event photography and social media management were the majority of this project. Event photography was taken at the event, featuring runners and participants attending. Additionally, social media management was done prior to and during the event to communicate with residents and manage incoming questions and inquiries.
